FromSoftware’s new version of Armored Core 6 has gamers pissed off with its difficulty, and for a single player the boss fights were just too hard – They ended up smashing their controller to pieces.
Armored Basic 6: Rubicon Fire It’s finally released, 10 years after the previous version. The mech pilot blends traditional armored core elements with Dark Souls-esque mechanics to create a challenging gameplay experience.
New players to FromSofware games have complained about how difficult the game is, with some not being able to beat the first boss.

But even veteran fans of the Armored Core franchise have been struggling with some of the game’s bosses. In typical FromSoftware style, this has resulted in some surprisingly angry outages, for both new and returning players.

One player expressed his thoughts on the difficulty of Armored Core 6 on Twitter, sharing his experience with the first class boss.
In a tweet sourced from IronPineapple, a creator in the FromSoft community, another player called Armored Core 6 a “stupid game”.

They claimed FromSoftware’s games to be “a waste of money to get bogged down in the first chapter”. In a follow-up tweet, the complaining user showed followers a picture of his console after his last Armored Core 6 gaming session. The console was completely smashed.
Although veteran fans struggled with early game bosses as well, this is nothing new for FromSoftware fans. “I’ve played enough FromSoftware games that quitting anger isn’t a thing anymore. It’s just ‘I’ll try that again later,'” one user replied to the tweet.

The infuriating Armored Core 6 helicopter boss quickly gained notoriety for making players destroy their controllers and quit the game. Devoted fans have begun to describe him as a “filter” boss, filtering out those who aren’t good enough to last, similar to Margit in the Elden Ring.
