Rejoice, music fans, because new photos from the highly anticipated film “Wicked” have been released.
Vanity gallery The photos debuted on Thursday, with one showing Ariana Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba in their room at Chase University.
Another photo shows Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard – the titular title from “The Wizard of Oz” – and Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, the headmistress of Shiz University.
In addition to those photos — and others — in the Vanity Fair article, Grande and Erivo also teased what some of their big musical numbers will look like, with director Jon M. Chu confirming they sang live.

Erivo recalled Grande pulling a stunt during one of her numbers, saying, “I'll never forget you when you jumped on a chandelier over my head while singing.”
Grande laughed and replied, “She was so excited to perform for her new friend. She wanted to do a trick.”
As for Erivo's stunning song “Defying Gravity,” Grande recalled that her co-star had a “belt pulling and pushing and pulling and tugging in every nook and cranny out there” while flying as she sang.
Grande — who jokingly admitted to “chasing” Marc Platt, who produced the Broadway show and films, for the role of Glinda — attended all of her auditions early, Cho said of their casting.
While Erivo said she didn't initially believe she would be seen for Elphaba and she was “one of the last people brought in” for it, Cho said as soon as he and Platt saw her they immediately knew she was the one.
The friendship between the two stars is very real too.
“I don't think people realize how amazing this person's mind, voice and talent are,” Erivo said, referring to Grande.
When Grande spoke about Erivo, she described her colleague as her “favorite female voice.”
“Wicked” opens in theaters on November 27, with the sequel arriving a year later.
