Homer Lafon, Anne Heche's son, has revealed financial problems following his mother's death in 2022.

The 22-year-old claims his late mother's estate cannot pay its outstanding debts, meaning it cannot be closed until the balance is settled.

The “Another World” actress, 53, died following a fiery car accident in Los Angeles, California, on August 5, 2022. After she fell into a coma, the state declared her legally dead a week later.

Lafon claims Heshe's estate consists of a “modest bank account, royalty payments and other residual income from pre-death projects,” court documents show.

Heche's ex Thomas Jane is also among the creditors, who is seeking $149,106.04, according to the documents.

As the sale date for a property nears, LaFon said he is “actively involved in attempts to negotiate appropriate settlements for the claims against the property.”

He added that with creditors' claims amounting to $6 million, the property is struggling to pay its mounting debts.

LaFon added that sales of his mother's posthumous memoir, “Call Me Anne,” were not “strong” — it grossed less than $25,000.

However, Lafon said he was “cautiously optimistic that all creditor claims can be resolved fairly and without litigation.”
