American singer Mary Milbin said that Prime Minister Modi is the best leader of India.

African-American actress and singer Mary Milbin has praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying he represents women, India’s best leader and the progress of Indian citizens.
Ms Milpin made the remarks while responding to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s use of derogatory language in the state Assembly to explain the role of education and women in population control.
Ms. Milbin said the 2024 election season has begun all over the world, in America, and certainly in India. “Election seasons represent an opportunity for change, to put an end to outdated policies and non-progressive people and replace them with voices and values that truly inspire and align with the convictions of all citizens, and what is best for the collective future of the nation.”
She further said, “A lot of people ask why I support Prime Minister Modi, and I follow India’s affairs closely. The answer is simple. I love India… I believe that Prime Minister Modi is the best leader of India, and the progress India has made is the best leader of India.” Dear Indian citizens. “He is the best leader for the US-India relationship and for global economic stability in the world… The Prime Minister stands up for women.”
On Wednesday, Ms. Milbin criticized Nitish Kumar for his derogatory remarks in the state Assembly. Milpin then called on the “brave” woman to “come forward” and announce her candidacy for the position of chief minister of Bihar.
Ms Milpin also asked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to “empower women to drive in Bihar”.
“After #NitishKumar ji’s comments, I think a brave woman needs to come forward and announce her candidacy for the post of Chief Minister of Bihar. If I were an Indian citizen, I would have moved to Bihar and run for the post of Chief Minister. BJP must empower women to lead in Bihar. This will be the true feeling of women empowerment and development in response. Or #Bihar, do as #SRK advised in #Jawan, ‘Vote’ and bring about change,” Mary Milbin posted on X.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a strong attack on Nitish Kumar over his derogatory remarks against women regarding population control and said that rude words were uttered in the state assembly and that “there is no shame”.
Addressing an election rally in Madhya Pradesh, Prime Minister Modi did not mention Nitish Kumar’s name, but referred to his statements made on Tuesday.
The Bihar Chief Minister courted controversy on Tuesday after he used insulting language in the state Assembly.
Nitish Kumar was speaking during the winter session of the Bihar Assembly. The Prime Minister made these statements stressing the need for girls’ education to check population growth.
After an uproar over his remarks, Kumar apologized on Wednesday and said he was taking back his words.
“If my words were wrong, I apologize for that. If my words hurt anyone, I will take them back,” Kumar told reporters.
His comments also angered the National Commission for Women, which asked him to issue an unconditional apology.
