European media have dubbed a woman in Germany a “tough blonde” after she pulled a climate change activist from blocking traffic as the public’s patience began to wear thin with repeated protests on the roads.

The video showed a woman yelling at a climate change protester to “get up” from a roadblock in Bottrop, Germany, according to a video released by an activist group.

Then the woman grabbed the activist by her hair and pulled her to the side of the road.

When the girl returned to turn off the road, the German woman dragged her by the hair for the second time.

Police in Recklinghausen said the activist sustained minor injuries in the altercation.

Police said they are investigating videos and photos of the incident to determine whether criminal action is necessary against those who dragged the protesters off the road.

They also said that climate activists have been detained.

Climate activists from Letzte’s generation – the ‘last generation’ – who posted the ‘brutal blonde’ video, are staging protests that have tested the public’s patience in Germany.

Several videos posted recently to the activist group’s Twitter account showed angry drivers getting out of their cars to yell, berate and forcibly remove “Letzte Generation” activists.

Some of the drivers blew up the activists, knocking them down in the process.

The activists’ methods also included taping their hands to the road, so they couldn’t be removed without the fire department cutting cement under their hands.

An activist screamed in pain as a respondent tried to free his hand, according to a video circulating on Twitter.

Activists from the group blocked aircraft movement at two airports on Thursday by sticking themselves to the runways in protest of mass transit pollution, causing hours of delays and scores of cancellations.

Germany’s DW reported that Hamburg delayed, canceled or changed 46 flights.

The protest came as the first day of the summer school holidays began in the city.

“The last generation is not protecting the climate, they are involved in criminal activity,” said Transport Minister Volker Wessing.

It follows a similar protest in April during which the group plastered itself onto the streets of Berlin to block traffic to the Alps, again seeking to disrupt any residents and travellers’ holiday plans.

Instead of presenting a concrete plan to prevent this and reach the emissions reduction target called for by the law, the DOT is relying on “technological flexibility,” the group wrote in a statement following the airport protests.
