- During a panel held during the Halo World Championship 2024 eSports event from October 4-6, The Forge Falcons released the first-ever Helljumpers trailer which you can watch below. This trailer also revealed that after more than seven months of development, the mode will finally be released on October 25.
- The mode will be playable on Xbox Series
Since Halo Infinite developer 343 Industries implemented the ability to add PvE campaign enemies to maps in the game’s Forge Mode mapping tool, its community has built numerous custom levels and modes that take creative advantage of this feature. One of the most exciting of these is Helljumpers, an action-packed, Halo-flavored game based on the popular co-op shooter Helldivers 2 that took Windows PC and PS5 gamers by storm earlier this year. Announced for the first time before Falcons Forge – The skilled team from Forgers that was behind this mod – As of late March, Helljumpers has been in development for over seven months now.
Featuring custom tactical callbacks, randomized objectives, mid-match upgrade and progression systems, an extraction mechanic, a massive map inspired by Halo 3: ODST’s bleak nighttime cityscapes, and more, Helljumpers is ambitious, to say the least (this overview covers the details Its gameplay in more detail). With over 4,000 text nodes and a maximum Forge budget, The Forge Falcons has left no stone unturned in its quest to bring the incredible fun of Helldivers 2 to Halo fans on Xbox and PC – and now, we finally know when the mode will be in our hands.
During a panel held by The Forge Falcons during the Halo World Championship 2024 eSports event from October 4-6, the first trailer for Helljumpers debuted, along with its official release date: October 25. You can watch the trailer below, or by clicking This link To his YouTube web page.
The trailer shows a team of four players dropping into Helljumpers’ bleak urban environment, recovering some sort of important artifact and then infiltrating a relay tower to blast it back to the kingdom before extracting it on a Pelican drop ship. Throughout the battle, waves of various types of Exile forces descend en masse to disrupt the group, with the Spartans using their weapons combined with heavy artillery strikes and tools such as defensive shields to fight their way back.
Everything from the visual design and details in the map itself to the pacing of combat and the mode’s custom-coded tricks look absolutely fantastic, and based on what we know about the structure of Helljumpers, players can look forward to more exciting and chaotic encounters as the intensity ramps up after the initial sets of objectives are completed. Overall, the inspiration for Helldivers 2 really shines in this teaser, and I can’t wait to experience the adrenaline rush that Arrowhead Game Studios has brought to Halo once the mode drops in a few weeks. It’ll look more like a Starship Troopers shooter once Halo Infinite gets third-person support in November, which The Forge Falcons does He already said Helljumpers will work with.
It’s important to note that once Helljumpers is released, you’ll be able to jump in without paying anything at all since Halo Infinite’s multiplayer – including Forge Mode and all the player-made creations that come from it – is completely free to play across both Xbox consoles and PC Windows (the campaign does require a purchase, though He is on Xbox Game Pass). This is a boon for Xbox players in particular, as Helldivers 2 is not available on Microsoft consoles.

The dream, of course, is to support official Helljumpers matchmaking, though I’m not sure if there’s a chance of that actually happening or not. CoD for The Forge Falcons: Zombies-style Survive the Undead was briefly added to matchmaking earlier this year, and is already scheduled to become a permanent part of Halo Infinite’s content pool on October 8, but its matches are generally quick — only a few These are minutes long, in most cases. In contrast, the full gameplay duration of the Helljumpers experience is said to be between 3-5 hours Long, which may be too long to reconcile the theories.
However, there’s always a chance it can be modified and adapted to support matchmaking at some point, and even if that’s not the case, you’ll always have the option of dropping feet first into hell with a group of friends. Don’t forget Dedicated gaming browser for Halo Infiniteand I’m sure it will be full of players looking forward to joining the team on October 25th.
