For a legend in the VIP tent on the Eras tour, you look like Stevie Nicks.
The Fleetwood Mac singer-songwriter watched the more than three-hour show on Sunday night’s finale in Dublin, Ireland.
During the surprise performance, Swift’s vocal group paid tribute to her by singing “Clara Bow” from her album “Sorrowed Poets’ Oath.” The sixteenth verse pays homage to the rock ‘n’ roll icon in the second verse: “She looks like Stevie Nicks / In 1975, hair and lips / The crowd goes wild at her fingertips / Half moonlight, full eclipse.”
“This game is so easy because I’ve never played this game live before,” Swift said in her orange gown at sunset. “The reason I wanted to play tonight is because I have a friend here watching the show who was really one of the reasons I or any artist got to do what we got to do. She paved the way for us, and she’s mentored so many artists that you wouldn’t even know she was doing it.”
Swift added that Nicks has been a mentor to her and many other female artists. “I can’t tell you how rare that is, she’s a hero to me, and I can tell her any secret and she wouldn’t tell anyone. She’s really helped me through so many things over the years,” Swift said.

Swift mixed “Lucky One” from “Red (Taylor’s Version)” before heading to the piano to play “You’re on Your Own Kid” from “Midnights.”
A decade-long friendship
Nicks’ friendship with Taylor Swift has spanned about a decade and a half. In 2010, the curly-haired blonde with a guitar performed a three-song EP with Nicks in 52nd Annual Grammy AwardsIn December, when Swift was named Time magazine’s Person of the Year for 2023, Nicks was quoted as saying in the article: “I’m not giving Taylor advice about fame. She doesn’t need it.”
In April, Nicks wrote the introductory poem in the booklet for the album “Tortured Poets” which reads in part: “He loved her / Or at least she thought so. She was heartbroken / ~ And maybe he was too ~” She is also the main character in the second verse of the song “Clara Bow”, when the Eras tour star sings.
Also present in the VIP tent were actress Julia Roberts and Bridgerton actress Florence Hunt.
There are 43 shows left on her massive Eras Tour. Swift will head to Amsterdam, Netherlands for a three-night run starting July 4.
