Enchanting, the Fort Worth, Texas, rapper signed to Gucci Mane’s Atlantic Records imprint, The New 1017, died Tuesday, June 11, according to public records from the Dallas County Medical Examiner. The musician, Channing Nicole Larry, was 26 years old. The cause of death was not revealed.

After self-releasing a number of projects, Enchanting signed to New 1017 in 2020. That year, she and K Shiday contributed “Left on reading“L Gucci Mane presents: Very icy summer. Last year, Alphonse Pierre wrote about Enchanting’s freestyle “walking”. “Gucci Mane’s signature Texas-raised vocals sound like a ghost whispering in the wind, and as it gets quieter the song becomes more sinister,” he wrote of the artist’s delivery. “Even when she doesn’t say anything threatening, she still looks evil.”
