Star Wars: The Acolyte will arrive on Disney+ on June 4, 2024, and its first trailer will be released tomorrow, March 19.

Big Star Wars news was shared on starwars.com Along with an ominous new poster bearing the phrase “In the Age of Light, Darkness Rises.”

The Acolyte is set in the High Republic era of the Star Wars timeline, which is considered the pinnacle of the Jedi Order. However, all is not well.

“In The Acolyte, a horrific crime spree is investigated, pitting a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Amandla Stenberg). As more evidence emerges, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal all Not what it seems,” reads the official description.

Joining Stenberg and Jung-jae in Star Wars: The Acolyte are Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman, Joonas Suotamo, and Carrie-Anne Moss.

Russian Doll's Leslye Headland serves as creator and showrunner and will executive produce alongside Kathleen Kennedy, Simone Emanuel, Jeff F. King and Jason Micallef. Charmaine DeGrate and Kaur Adana are co-executive producers, and Ryan Roberts and Damien Anderson are producers.

We still don't know a lot about the series, but Stenberg shared that the show was developed with her in mind.

“All the artwork was conceived through my face,” Leslie said, “I’ve been working on this for about three or four years for you.” I don't know what I'm going to do if you don't do it.” “Do it,” Steinberg said. “No pressure.” “So of course I was sent to the moon.”

It has also been confirmed that The Acolyte will contain more Jedi than any other film or show and that it is “Frozen meets Kill Bill”.
