This week's episode of SmackDown took place in Memphis, Tennessee, and it was heading towards WrestleMania 40 in many ways. This included a clip from an interview with LA Knight, but his clip was apparently left out of the initial runsheets.
After engaging in verbal sparring and skirmishes for weeks, LA Knight stepped into the spotlight on the latest edition of SmackDown to address an ongoing feud with The Phenomenal One. In a bold move, WWE's resident Megastar challenged Styles to a singles match at WrestleMania 40.
Before Knight could complete his announcement, AJ Styles shocked the Megastar, and made his statement loud and clear, as Styles accepted L.A. Knight's challenge at WrestleMania 40.
According to Sean Ross Sapp who is behind Fightful's paywall, it has been reported that LA Knight's interview segment was not part of the initial playsheets for this week's episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
“LA Knight interview is not listed internally.”
With anticipation building for the first-ever showdown between LA Knight and AJ Styles, fans are eagerly awaiting the spectacle that will unfold at WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia.
