To solve this issue YouTube comes with a new solution in which YouTube will is going to add more ads next to the music videos which will get you to subscribe.
According to Bloomberg, the service’s music head Lyor Cohen said that the YouTube will be boosting the number of ads that user is seeing in between the music videos. This would make a user frustrate and seduce and would subscribe to YouTube’s next=gen streaming service.
This new service will give a head start and it would soften the complaints make by artists about non-payment and not to encourage paid streaming. YouTube offered paid music service for some time but it does not offer the service like Spotify or Apple Music. The music videos that users are now watching have fewer ads. When this service will come then you may see a number of ads in between the music videos and then you might get bound to think about free and paid access.
Apple and Spotify have a huge head start in the market and there is no room for other competitors to go near them. The frequent ads will only instigate users to convert to paid users. A YouTube spokesperson said that “ Our top priority at YouTube is to deliver a great user experience and that includes ensuring users do not encounter excessive ad loads. We do not seek to specifically increase ad loads across YouTube. It is just for the group of users who use YouTube as a paid music service today. We may show our ads or promotional prompts to upsell to our paid service.”
