Xiaomi is all set to take the wraps off its upcoming concept phone – the Mi Mix 2 on September 11th. The handset has already surfaced on the web in the past few weeks, giving us a good idea about the handset’s design and specs. Now, the latest leak coming out Chinese blog Weibo reveals a lot more about Mi Mix 2.
To begin, the handset will get powered by the latest Snapdragon 835 processor. This has been confirmed by Qualcomm China’s official account along with the fact that the handset is indeed launching on September 11.
The leaked images of the handset were also posted showing the handset’s bezel-free display. The smartphone’s display is said to feature an 18:9 aspect ratio which might give it a screen to body ratio of more than 95 percent. The smartphone is expected to feature a 6.4-inch QHD display with a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels.
Elsewhere, the Mi Mix 2 is said to come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Rumor also has it that a top-end variant of the handset with 8GB and 256GB of storage could also be offered along with the standard model.
Other rumored specs include a dual-camera setup along with a 3400mAh or 4400mAh battery. In terms of OS, the Mi Mix 2 will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat wrapped over the company’s MIUI 9 skin. Some reports even suggest that Xiaomi may introduce the facial recognition feature also rumored to feature on the upcoming iPhone 8.
Earlier this week, leaked images of the Mi Mix 2 were also doing rounds on the web showing of the handset’s bezel-free display. While back in July, the handset was also spotted on popular benchmarking database GFXBench, revealing some of its key specs. The listing also revealed benchmark test scores of the upcoming handset, which managed to pull-off single and multi-core scores of 1929 and 6431 respectively.
