Week 6 injury report Wednesday: Jesse Horn held out

Charlotte – The Panthers had a few required faces on the training ground on Wednesday, but there were still a few significant absences.

Cornerback Jaycee Horn (Ribs) did not train on Wednesday after leaving last Sunday’s game in the third quarter and was unable to finish the match.

They had full back Frankie Lofo (shoulder) back on the field as a full participant, and Xavier Woods (hamstring) safety was limited.

They came in last week as the team’s starting line-up, and their absence was immediately felt against the 49ers. Besides the missing safety, Jeremy Chin (he has been in injured reserve for at least three weeks), the Panthers were short-range.

The Panthers were also without quarterback Baker Mayfield (ankle) in training Wednesday.

It’s unclear whether or not he’ll miss the time, but without him on the field on Wednesday, the Panthers were turning to PJ Walker and coaching staff Jacob Eason for practice.

Christian McCaffrey was stopped back as well, but this was just a normal rest day, and he has no injury to report. Wide receiver DJ Moore (shoulder) appeared to practice in a green shirt, but was listed as a full participant.

Laviska Shenault Jr. has not trained. (hamstring) and back corner Stantley Thomas-Oliver III (thigh) on Wednesday, linebacker CJ Henderson (knee) and tight end Stephen Sullivan (back) were limited.
