In the United States, a blind woman complained to police that her husband, William Robert Long, 76, was missing – a wanted man lying dead in bed. This was reported by the Nachitoches (State of Louisiana) Sheriff’s Office on its Facebook page.
Accordingly, the woman, who did not want to be named, called the emergency number on December 29 last year and said she had not received anything from her husband since 3pm the day before, which was unusual.
At 6 a.m. Wednesday, a patrol went to the couple’s home. During the investigation of the woman, the authorities found that all the vehicles of the family were parked in front of the house.

A police officer noticed the window glass was broken, so law enforcement officers entered the home and asked to search for the missing person. They finally found the body with multiple gunshot wounds in the man’s bed.
The body of the person who was shot was autopsied and classified as a murder case. The suspects have not yet been arrested, although police have obtained images from surveillance cameras. A spokesman for the sheriff’s office said, “Our investigators are working tirelessly to arrest that person or those involved in that person’s murder.”
William Robert, popularly known as Pop-Long, lost in the US Senate in 2010, according to Facebook posts. The cause of the bloody act is not yet known. Police did not answer why the widow did not notice the broken glass and the sound of gunfire.
It is also unclear whether this is a typical wedding bed.
