Billionaire heiress kidnapped while jogging
Memphis – The alleged perpetrator remains in custody – but he does not want to reveal the victim’s whereabouts. An unidentified body was found a short distance from the abducted spot.
Elisa Fletcher (34), a teacher from Memphis (Tennessee, USA), has been missing since Friday. She comes from a wealthy family, being the granddaughter of billionaire businessman Joseph Argyle III († 80, tools, among others).
According to police, Fletcher was jogging when a man approached and forced him into a black SUV. Officers secured the sandals at the scene. Among them: the DNA of former inmate Cleotha Upston, 38. Witnesses reportedly saw him in the car, according to the New York Times. Arrest!
Fletcher’s family offered a $50,000 reward for information. Her uncle: “We hope someone knows what happened and can help.”
Cleota Abston was arrested and released from prison in 2001 for kidnapping a lawyer. At that time, he dragged the victim in the car.
His goal: to withdraw money from the lawyer’s account along with the lawyer. A security guard intervened in front of the machine, and Abston fled, but was arrested and sentenced a short time later.
After 21 years, he seems to have become a criminal again. After the arrest, Abston refuses to know anything about the woman’s fate. Investigators found a body near the scene of the kidnapping Monday evening.
Whether these are braids is yet to be confirmed.
