Marines of the 155th Squadron suffered the highest number of casualties, according to a daily summary report from the Ministry of Defense in London. A satellite image has been released that purportedly shows a cluster of destroyed Russian military vehicles southeast of the Ukrainian town of Vuhlader.

Now there are only estimates of the number of dead and wounded in the year-long war. According to the latest information, the British Ministry of Defense considers a total of 200,000 casualties on the Russian side. Between 40,000 and 60,000 of them may have died. Referring to Ukraine, the commander of the Norwegian Armed Forces, Kristoffersen, said in late January that he believed about 100,000 Ukrainian soldiers had been killed or wounded. However, his spokesman insisted to the British newspaper “Times” that no one could provide a detailed overview at this time. In fact, the number of victims may be lower or higher.
