The SOS feature is very necessary as it is designed to help you quickly from the trouble. Apple also designed its SOS feature on its smartphone to help its users. The smartphones models of the Apple-like Apple iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus or iPhone X have this feature. If you hold the side button and one of the volume buttons at the same time, you can see a slide bar that can be used to activate the emergency SOS call. The feature of the SOS call is to send a message to all your emergency contacts and your location and also 911 get a call.
The users who have Apple iPhone 7 or older model can use SOS emergency service by clicking the side button 5 times. If you want to call 911 you have to drag the slider. If you have an Apple Watch, you can use SOS service by holding down the crown without dragging the slider to call. This new feature is available on iOS 11 and WatchOS 4.
The new Apple iPhone and Apple Watch models are triggering this feature automatically. This problem was first to come to notice when an Apple Watch user whose name is Jason Rowley uses the sleep tracking ability when he sleeping. Little to his knowledge the Emergency SOS service was activated by Apple Watch automatically and at about 1 AM he was waking up by three cops who has arrived at the response of SOS call by his watch. The cops said to Rowley that they are experiencing some more calls by Apple users as they are triggering the SOS automatically.
The SOS feature issue is acknowledged by Apple at the time. You can reduce this accidental SOS calls by going to Settings>Emergency SOS > Disable Autocall.
