In Consumer Electronics Show which was held in the month of January, AMD revealed the details about the Zen+ processor architecture. This Zen+ architecture is not new but it is the Zen architecture which was debuted with the original line-up of Ryzen processors and help AMD comes to a competitive position with Intel up-and-down.
Zen+ got an opportunistic turbo boost algorithm which will be boosting the CPU core clocks speeds which is higher and longer than the originals, power, and thermals permitting. Zen+ can also access all the caches and system memory which comes in lower latency, they are capable of higher clocks and the most important part is they get manufactured with the help of using more advanced 12nm+ process. The refinements which are present in Zen+ don’t give any extra performance but they git faster processor and same as power envelope.
AMD is said to be using the same 8-core die in the first generation Ryzen processors. AMD officially announced the Ryzen 5 2600 and 2600X with Ryzen 7 2700 and 2700X. AMD has recently updated its product listings and we can see that the company has two new members who are Ryzen 3 2000 and Ryzen 6 2000 family. There is no information about the specs and clock speed but the new processors in them include Ryzen 3 2100 (YD210BC6M2OFB), the Ryzen 3 2300X (YD230XBBM4KAF) and the Ryzen 5 2500X (YD250XBBM4KAF).
The arrival of the all-new AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2000 series will be welcome as they will help in bringing a improved performance and all credit goes to the refined Zen+ architecture and the arrival of -them will help in pushing down the price of the first-generation parts.
Ryzen Threadripper 2900X (YD290XA8U8QAF) has 8core/ 16 thread, 2920X (YD292XA8UC9AF)
has 12-core/24-thread and 2950X (YD295XA8UGAAF) has 16-core/32-core thread configurations. We can expect an increase in clock speed across the board and memory latency optimizations in the desktop version processors.
The new additions which are on their way on the APU front. AMD has Raven Ridge-based Ryzen 7 2700U and Ryzen 5 2500U processors which come with intreated Radeon Vega graphics. AMD’s official website also confirmed that the low power Ryzen 5 2400GE and Ryzen 3 2200GE APUs are also coming. The new product list on the website shows about the three new SKU which are Ryzen 3 2000U (YM200UC4T2OFB), Ryzen 5 2600U (YM2600C3T4MFB), and Ryzen 7 2800U (YM2800C3T4MFB).
The price and the date of availability of the product are not yet released neither mentioned in any document. There is a rumor that AMD will be soon making some announcement about them and the expected to arrive in late summer.
