The harp seal cub clings to the diver for life as the ice around it melts

It’s a miracle it came when it did.

Marine biologist and photojournalist Jennifer Hayes shared her latest experience with the Harp Seal cub which is truly heartbreaking. The story shared on a TikTok account @c4newsis just a small glimpse of what is happening around the world due to climate change.

Rising temperatures affect every living thing, and on the Magdalen Islands in Quebec, Harp seals that migrate there to give birth are facing difficulties as the ice melts quickly. And Hayes’ interaction with the seal baby is sad fact. take a look.

Ah, watching this video hurt our hearts. We can’t believe 2020 was the last time this area had seals getting sick. Changes must be made so that we can save not only these precious animals but all others affected by the climate crisis.
