The multi-national company, Samsung has begun rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo in India for the Galaxy Note 8. Quite recently this update had begun rolling out in France, and Indian users could now update their Galaxy Note 8 units also or would be soon, as this is a staged rollout, so it should be kept in mind that an update is not available to all at this very moment. Along with Android 8.0 Oreo, the Galaxy Note 8 users would even get a new version of Samsung’s Android skin, Samsung Experience 9.0 that would replace Samsung Experience 8.5 version on the Galaxy Note 8 handset.
Samsung Experience 9.0 would get a new and customizable keyboard, to the handset, while in addition to that, the company even included new stickers and emoji. Bixby briefing feature is too a part of the new update and the same can be also said for an enhanced DeX support, and other modifications. Now, together with those features that are included in Samsung’s newest skin, the Galaxy Note 8 would even get a number of specific features of Android 8.0 Oreo, like new animations while pulling down the notification shade, some battery tweaks, a Picture-in-Picture mode, new options in settings, and so on. The company has adopted every major feature of Android 8.0 Oreo that is something its users would probably appreciate. Samsung had last year launched the Galaxy Note 8 in India and the handset has been available for months now in the country. The Galaxy Note 8 was originally launched with Android Nougat. This is the first major update for the handset.
Until the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus arrived, the Galaxy Note 8 was Samsung’s flagship smartphone. The Galaxy Note 8 yet is quite tough, powerful, the smartphone is fueled by the Exynos 8895 64-bit octa-core SoC in India, and it has 6GB of RAM. The handset is available in many storage variants. It sports a dual 12-megapixel camera on the back.
