The customs officer didn’t think the Stranger Things star was here to be on The Tonight Show

Joseph Quinn join The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon On Monday, where Weird things The Season 4 star spoke about being detained by customs while entering the country for his late-night debut. While the British actor, who plays Eddie Monson on the show, didn’t have a reasonable reason to be in the country, luckily, he had a close fan.

“I was taken there, I guess what you might call it, was more of a dungeon, and I was asked to wait there for about 20 minutes,” Quinn said. “Then I was called into this office where someone asked me, ‘What are you doing in the United States, sir?’ ‘ I said, ‘Well, I’m already here to meet Jimmy Fallon on me Tonight ShowAnd he didn’t believe me. And one of his classmates looked at me, looked at him, and said, “Leave Eddie alone.”

Quinn said the fellow made it clear to the original officer that it belonged to Eddie Weird thingsprompting the officer to ask, “Are you Eddie Monson?”

This officer also turned out to be a fan of the show, and the line of interrogation changed dramatically.

“He was like, are you coming back next season?” Quinn said. I said: I don’t know. It’s like, “You’re better.” He gave me the passport.”

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon It airs weekend nights at 11:35 pm on NBC.
