The South Korean multinational Samsung is all set to announce its biggest launch of the year – the Galaxy Note 8. Today at an official event in New York at 8.30pm, the Korean multinational will be launching its much awaited and premium flagship product – the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, and the entire market is impatiently waiting to explore the features and specs of this new Note model. Apart from the much hyped giant display, faster processor, and dual camera setup, reports and rumors also have claimed the Phablet to be home to several more exclusive features and specs. Two days earlier, Samsung in its Europe tweeter account, accidentally leaked few crucial details of this upcoming Phablet according to which, Galaxy Note 8 will boast an Infinity Display, skin to the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ and will feature a smaller bezel than the S8 and S8+. The officially teased videos, posted by Samsung also have given us a glimpse of the photographic capability of the Note 8, revealing the evident optical zoom functionality of the device. Moreover, the official teasers also have ignited the rumors of Note 8 shipping with 3D depth sensing and 3x optical zoom. The phone is rumored to sports a 6.30-inch Super AMOLED 4K display with a screen resolution of 1440 pixels by 2960 pixels. With an Always-On display, Grace UI, and protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5, the Phablet is expected to give users a premium smartphone experience.

Under the hood, the Note 8 will either be powered by Exynos 8895 processor or a Snapdragon 835 SoC. With the Operating System of Android 7.1 Nougat, the Note 8 will also boast a dual camera set-up at its rear panel. At back panel, the phone will host a dual lens camera setup (12MP+12MP) with additional features like f/1.7 & f/2.4, OIS, 2x optical zoom, phase detection autofocus, and dual-LED flash. Likewise, on the front panel, the Phablet will sports an 8 MP camera, empowered by f/1.7, dual video call, and Auto HDR features.

In terms of storage option, the phone is rumored to be launched in three variants 64GB/128GB/256 GB internal memory and 6 GB RAM. Featuring a non-removable Li-Ion 3300 mAh Battery with additional charging options like USB v3.1, Type-C 1.0 reversible connector, the phone will sit on Dual SIM (Nano SIM) configuration. With color options like Midnight Black, Orchid Grey, Maple Gold, and Deep Sea Blue, the Galaxy Note 8 is expected to cost around $1200.

However, as Samsung itself hasn’t revealed any of these rumors to be true yet, we have to wait for few more years to get the actual features and specs of the Note 8 on the table. Today, at 8.30pm in New York, Samsung is going to unpack its most sought after flagship of the year.
