Samsung has been accelerating the pace of Android version updates, and this week the first hard evidence of an Android 14 update appeared for the company, just a little ahead of schedule.
Android 14, of course, isn’t nearly complete. Google has released one beta version of the new system, and basically another is due anytime now. The update doesn’t sound huge by any means, but it does bring some neat new features as we covered earlier.

Android 14 has been confirmed on Samsung devices, rumored to be called “One UI 6.0,” to address long-standing issues with background apps on Galaxy devices, but it’s unclear what Samsung has in store.
