Samsung hasn’t provided an official update for its Galaxy Note 8 Oreo update, but the same is available for download right this instance for your device. Oreo update for Note 8 is available for SM-N950U devices which mean Note 8 devices sold at T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint are eligible for download of this new update. This new update seems to be a stable version of Oreo and not the beta one.

No news about the Note 8 Oreo arriving in the market has been released, and Samsung is yet to release a stable Oreo for Galaxy S8 as well as Galaxy S8+ users, an OTA based on Oreo has been found on the Samsung servers. The Oreo update found on the servers has the N950USQU2CQL1 version and users looking forward to installing the same need to have an N950USQS2BQK2 version. This is because the update needs to have a QK2 build as a base to allow installation.

However, the update for Galaxy Note 8 hasn’t been made official as of now, and the associated procedures to install the same given on the page are risky. This should be done only if you know and understand completely the risks associated with the same. The Oreo update is only compatible with Galaxy Note 8 sets which are powered by Snapdragon processor and sold in the US as model no. SM-N950U.

Before you go ahead and install this update, make sure you delete all your important data that includes music and video files as well. There are chances that all these might get wiped during the installation process.
