It’s been a good year for the full-sized pickups during last few years. Low gas prices with the strong economy have given an opportunity to the buyers to buy these full-sized pickups. RAM 1500 has the best February with the sales rising from 260,000 to 700,000. Head of RAM Brand for FCA North America Jim Morrison said that “ this truck is the most significant accomplishment we had so far as a brand.”

Fords continuous hold to the top of the automakers market with F-150 has been for four is the best selling truck in America. The RAM cannot see its laurels and the launch of 1500 by the company is going to give a tough competition to the Ford’s F-150.

RAM 1500 is available in Tradesman, Bighorn, Rebel, Laramie, Laramie Longhorn and Limited trims.  RAM has made sure to provide 1500 to every type of pickup customers and allowing its customer to have a luxury-rig truck from a sparse work truck. The base price of Quad Tradesman 4×2 starts at $31,695 and Crew Cab Longhorn 4×4 tester is of $54,890.

RAM’s aim to build the best interior of the truck in the market. It developed the truck with putting an emphasis on storage, function, and technology. The centerpiece is a new tablet-size 12-inch Uconnect system which has company’s fourth-generation software. The near-obligatory features are Apple Carplay, Android Auto, and Sirius XM.  The system has a Harman Kardon hi-fi setup with 19 speakers of the 900watt surround sound system, 10-inch subwoofer, and noise cancellation.

The truck also includes a 360-degree surround camera view system. It also houses an adaptive cruise control system which helps in a full stop, hold, and resume the distance between vehicle present in front of the truck.

The RAM 1500 have a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6and 5.7-liter Hemi V8s.  They have a new eTorque 48-volt mild hybrid system which is new to them. It can provide up to 90lb-ft torque for the V6 and 130-pound-feet for the V8. The system is designed to give a seamless operation of the Start/Stop fuel-saving system.

The RAM 1500 comes with a five-year, 60,000-mile Powertrain Limited covers the engine, transmission and drive system. The coverage also includes free towing of the truck to nearest RAM dealer if necessary. The warranty is also transferable, which is great for the customers who buy the trucks from real owners.
