At the end of the first half of the week two edition of “Sunday Night Football,” the Green Bay Packers lead their division rival Chicago Bears 24-7.
Both Green Bay touchdowns came courtesy of Aaron Jones, who was relatively uninvolved in the team’s first-week offensive. Packers coach Matt Lafleur said he would make it a priority to get more touches for Jones and AJ Dillon this week, and he certainly did. in the first half. Jones finished the game with seven campaigns and three catches for 92 yards in total and a score of two, while Dillon added 10 campaigns for 31 yards and pulled a large portion of the board from a penalty kick into the backside. Green Bay’s rookie receivers, each of whom suffered last week, added positive performances in the passing game.
Chicago took a short lead after Justin Fields led the scoring campaign on the team’s first possession of the game. David Montgomery had more ball success than he did at Bears Slop in front of 49 players last week, but Chicago simply didn’t make many plays in the first half. The Bears went three times in each of their next three possessions after running Fields to land on the first drive, and by the time they got the ball back on their last drive in the half, the Packers bet themselves with a three lead score.
