OnePlus starts rolling out Oxygen OS Beta 20/11 for the Onelus 3 and OnePlus 3T handsets. The beta weighs in at 54MB. It’s also worth noting that being a BETA build, the patch can only be installed by Oxygen OS OPEN beta build users.

Users who have already flashed an open beta update will receive the new update. In case they haven’t, users will have to flash the open beta build first after which the update will start arriving on their OnePlus 3/3T handsets. It’s also worth noting that the open beta update includes features that will be a part of the stable version in upcoming releases.

In the latest BETA update, owners of the above-mentioned smartphones can expect several performance improvements, bug fixes, and optimizations. You can check out the complete changelog below:

The battery saver mode indication has changed from an orange status bar to a notification
Optimized calculation method for data usage statistics
Expanded screenshot, now supports capture of GIF’s and videos (Experimental feature)
There have been UI FX improvements for the weather widget

Bug Fixes:

Resolved various third party app crashes
A fix has been issued for Bluetooth device battery status wrongly displayed for non-supported devices
A fix has been issued for Weather occasionally unable to retrieve forecast data.

As mentioned in changelog, the OxygenOS Open Beta 11 Update fixes the long-known Bluetooth glitch. Besides, the update also resolves third party app crashes.

In terms of optimizations, the battery saver indication has changed from orange status bar to a notification, which makes it easy to figure out whether the mode has been activated or not. Elsewhere, the update also brings changes to the expanded screenshots feature. Hence, users can now capture an enlarged screenshot of a GIF or while playing videos.

However, the update doesn’t get any user interface changes. OnePlus says that the update has started rolling out for users on the Open Beta program.
