Registering an emphatic return to the combination of affordability, style and features, OnePlus is back with it latest offering – OnePlus Nord. Promising a flagship-like experience at a much lower price tag than OnePlus 8 series, the new smartphone is nothing short of smartphone satisfaction.

Blending slick performance, premium design and superb cameras, the new OnePlus Nord is eye-catching enough, and offers great value for money. While the phone belongs to the crowded mid-market full of feature-rich phones, it does stand out owing to the heady mix of flagship experience and affordability.

The sizable display of the phone offers a smooth user experience. Plenty of cameras and a powerful battery under the hood, wrapped up in a premium design, OnePlus Nord is “pretty much everything you could ask for”, as described by the smartphone maker itself.

The multiple cameras on the new OnePlus phone seem a bit over the top, but still offer a wide range of photography options – from ultra-wide to portrait and from macro to nightscape modes. With slow-motion video recording at 1080p and 240fps and 4K video recording at 30fps with the front and rear cameras, the phone also offers up to 10x zoom.

The only cons on OnePlus Nord are no wireless charging, no IP rating for water and dust resistance, and no headphone jack. Also, the battery life is average – just enough to see you through a day. Also, the presence of dual selfie cameras does not leave much room for notification icons across top of the display.

The features and the premium look make OnePlus Nord a pretty good choice for a smartphone, what now remains to be seen is whether the new phone would cause a decline in the sales of OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro, since the company’s flagship phones cost considerably more than its latest offering.
