OnePlus 5T is allegedly the next flagship offering from the Chinese manufacturer. As per earlier leaks, the handset is expected to feature a bezel-free display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. Now, we have another leaked render of the smartphone from SlashLeaks which happens to be in line with earlier rumors about the handset.

Going by the leak posted by SlashLeaks on its Twitter page, it appears the alleged OnePlus 5T will get a 6-inch display having an aspect ratio of 16:9. Also, a few key sources suggest that the handset will feature a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels.

Past reports have also tipped that the company may skip the OnePlus 5T, and directly push the launch of the OnePlus instead. However, the possibility of that happening is rather bleak given the company’s past flagship launches.

To recall, OnePlus launched the OnePlus 3T last year. The handset was an exact replica of the original OnePlus 3, barring subtle hardware and camera upgrades. The most striking aspect about the OnePlus 3T was the new Snapdragon 821 processor, which back then was Qualcomm’s newest top-shelf chipset. In comparison, the OnePlus 3 featured the older Snapdragon 820 processor.

Therefore, one can expect the upcoming OnePlus 5T to also feature some noticeable upgrades over the latest OnePlus 5. It’s also worth noting that the Snapdragon 835 is the latest chipset from Qualcomm which is found in pretty much every flagship smartphone launched this year. Also, key sources indicate that Qualcomm has no plans to announce its next version this year.

Hence, the possibility of a new processor on the upcoming OnePlus 5T can be ruled out for now. Though, chances are that the OnePlus 5T might be upgraded with a bezel-less design featuring an aspect ratio of 18:9 as tipped by the latest render. However, it goes without saying that these rumors should be taken with a pinch of salt as nothing is officially confirmed at the moment.
