NFL Week 11 Picks Briscoe: Patriots sweep Jets; Vikings stay hot vs. Cowboys; The Eagles are fighting for the edge over the Colts

For some strange reason, I can’t move forward with my choices, especially when it comes to me Expert picks. I’m under 0.500 and it’s getting worse every week. I was 5-9 last week, which brings my record down to 67-77-6.

This is the bad news.

The good news is that I went 5-1 with my best bets as part of the Pick-Six Podcast, which brings my record to 34-23-2 for the season. I will take that.

My straight picks were 8-6 to bring that record up to 85-64-1, which isn’t terrible. But it’s time to do a better job at expert picks. I’m trying to lose weeks.

Latest possibilities:

Green Bay Packers -3

The Packers had a season-saving victory against Cowboys In overtime on Sunday, the offensive is showing signs of life. Titans won over Bronco, despite having a host of injuries in defence. This indicates their strength. This is a tough turnaround, though, and I think the Pack carries its momentum from beating the Cowboys.

pluck or pluck: Packers 24, Titans 19

Latest possibilities:

Atlanta Falcons -3

The Falcons will rest a bit after playing last Thursday, and they’re still alive in the divisional race. This game will feature two quarterbacks who want to run, as Chicago’s Justin Fields is a real challenge for any defense. But I think the Falcons will find a way to slow it down here and get a comeback victory after losing to leopards.

pluck or pluck: Falcons 27, Bears 23

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Latest possibilities:

Baltimore Ravens -13

Panthers Baker Mayfield will start at quarterback here with PJ Walker injured. The Ravens know him well since he was with Cleveland. The Ravens defense is also starting to round into shape, which isn’t good news for the Panthers. Look for Baltimore to come bye with a huge victory.

buffalo bills -8

The Browns are out on the road for the second week in a row after losing to Miami last week. The Bills are coming off a huge loss to Vikings, a game that saw them lead by 17 points late on. They’re going to take that frustration out on the Browns’ defense, which was terrible. Look for Josh Allen to come back again for the big day.

Latest possibilities:

Washington leaders -3

Upset the leaders the Eagles Monday night, and they’re heading out on the road for the second week in a row. It’s tough, but the Texans have defense issues in the run, which the leaders will exploit as they did against the Eagles. Look for Washington to pass .500 with a win.

Latest possibilities:

Philadelphia Eagles -7

The Eagles are coming off their first loss, while the Colts pull off an impressive victory in Jeff Saturday’s first game as interim coach. They looked better by going to Matt Ryan again at quarterback. The Eagles have problems with their run defense, which could show with Jonathan Taylor having a great day. I think the Eagles are going to get back on track and win this one, but it’s close.

pluck or pluck: Eagles 27, Colts 24

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount +)

This is a big game in terms of playoff odds. The Patriots beat the Jets three weeks ago in their place in a game dominated by defense. This should be another defense-dominated game, and at home I’ll take the Patriots defense.

pluck or pluck: Patriots 20, Jets 16

Latest possibilities:

New Orleans Saints -3

The Rams have major issues and now they will have to play without Cooper Cobb after he suffered an ankle injury. That’s bad for an offense that has struggled and may not have Matthew Stafford (concussion). The Saints seemed lifeless to be offended at losing to Steelers last week. But back home I think that will change. Look for a big game from Alvin Kamara as the Saints win it.

Latest possibilities:

New York Giants -3

This is a second road game in a row for the Lions, who won in Chicago last week. The offense continues to play well, but they still have problems defensively. Look for a big game from Saquon Barkley here for the Giants as they cruise into the playoffs. Giants take it.

pluck or pluck: Giants 26, Lions 19

Sunday, 4:05 p.m. ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Latest possibilities:

Las Vegas Raiders +2.5.2007

This is a match between two of the biggest disappointments in the league. The Broncos can’t score and the Raiders can’t stop anyone. Something must be given. I think the Raiders will stop and Derek Carr and crime will find a way to win it.

pluck or pluck: Raiders 28, Broncos 21

Dallas Cowboys (-1) at Minnesota Vikings

Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount +)

The Vikings came home to a miraculous victory over the Bills last week when they rallied from 17 down late on. The Cowboys were on the road for the second straight week after a 14-point lead in the fourth quarter in the loss to the Packers. The Cowboys had major coverage issues last week, which Justin Jefferson will take advantage of. Find the Vikings to keep working.

Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount +)

Latest possibilities:

Cincinnati Bengals -4

The Bengals come off a bye, while the Steelers come off an impressive victory over the Saints. Pittsburgh’s defense looked like it made a comeback in that game, which is a good sign. But that’s the big challenge on the Bengals’ offense. Joe Borough is hard to stop. They won’t stop him. Bengals take it.

pluck or pluck: Bengals 31, Steelers 21

This is basically the chiefs division report. Earn it, and it’s theirs. lose, and it’s a race. The leader is going up in attack now and I think that will show. Patrick Mahomes will get the best of it against Justin Herbert.

Latest possibilities:

San Francisco 49ers -8

The 49ers took out a win over the Chargers, while the Cardinals beat the Rams with Colt McCoy at quarterback. There is a chance that Kyler Murray will return in this game, but that won’t matter. The 49ers are ready to roll with many of their youngsters back healthy.

pluck or pluck: 49ers 30, Cardinals 23
