Seven-time Super Bowl champion quarterback Tom Brady has been approved by NFL ownership as a limited partner of the Las Vegas Raiders, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday.

Brady and his partner now own 10% in the Raiders and Brady personally owns a 5% stake.

Hall of Famer Richard Seymour, a former teammate of Brady with the New England Patriots and a former Raiders player, also acquired Small ownership stake.

Tuesday’s vote ended the long-running saga of Brady’s bid to enter ownership. It was first reported in May 2023 that Brady was working to acquire a minority stake in the Raiders.

Brady’s efforts to buy a portion of the Raiders have been delayed, in part, by questions surrounding the valuation of what percentage would be sold to him and Brady’s role as a broadcaster for FOX Sports.

The NFL in August placed restrictions on Brady’s broadcast access due to his potential involvement with the Raiders.

Brady is not permitted to attend broadcast production meetings in person or online, and may not have access to team facilities, players or coaches. FOX employees are not subject to these restrictions.

He must also abide by the league’s constitution and bylaws, which prohibit public criticism of officials and other clubs, but he is allowed to broadcast Raiders games.

Brady, who retired from the NFL after the 2022 season, works with play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhart on FOX’s top NFL broadcast team. He signed a 10-year contract with the network in 2022, but this is Brady’s first season announcing games.
