After Samsung, its LG’s turn to show off what it has in store later this month. The company’s upcoming Android flagship, the LG V30, is expected to be unveiled on August 31. Going by past leaks and official teasers of the handset, the LG V30 is shaping up to be formidable challenger for the likes of Samsung and Apple.
And just a few days prior to its expected release, LG has posted a new teaser video about the upcoming handset on YouTube. The video titled ‘The next V: Immersive sound”, is a 20-second teaser that does not happen to reveal anything substantial.
Though as the title of the video suggests, the latest teaser brags about the upcoming flagship’s audio capabilities. The video shows people of different cultures engaged in dancing and listening to music, which only suggests that the upcoming LG V30 is likely to feature some serious audio firepower.
Earlier this month, LG officially confirmed that its upcoming flagship would be the first smartphone to feature an f/1.6 lens aperture, which allows 25 percent more light compared to flagships from Samsung and Apple. Elsewhere, the also stated that the LG V30’s camera will feature a glass lens, which is said to offer much improved sharpness and color accuracy.
As per earlier leaks, the LG V30 is expected to sport a 6-inch OLED display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. Under the hood, the handset is rumored to run Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor bundled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage. The handset is also said to offer support for Google’s Daydream VR headset so that users can enjoy VR content on the device right out-of-the-box.
In terms of design, leaked renders suggest a full screen display like the one found on last year’s LG G6. That being said, the size of both top and bottom bezels has been shaved off even further, as the latest leaked render seemingly shows an edge to edge, bezel free display on the upcoming LG V30.
