Netflix announced the fourth season of the magician, but with a warning of a big change. For the fourth season of the hit TV show, Henry Cavill no longer plays Geralt of Rivia, the series’ protagonist. Instead, the role will be played by fellow Hollywood star Liam Hemsworth. As you might expect, the change came as a huge surprise to fans who never expected Cavill, a huge fan of the series, to step down from the role. Cavill doesn’t say why he left the role behind, but he does indicate that White Wolf is in good hands with Liam Hemsworth.
“My journey with Geralt of Rivia has been full of monsters and adventures, and unfortunately I will be putting up my medal and swords for season four,” Cavill said in a statement released alongside the news. “In my place, the wonderful Mr. Liam Hemsworth will take on the mantle of the white wolf. As with the greatest of literary characters, I pass the torch with respect for the time I have spent portraying Geralt and enthusiasm to see Liam take on this most wonderful and subtle of men. Liam, good sir, this character is deeply endowed. Great for him, enjoy diving in and seeing what you can find.”
Hemsworth chimes in with the following: “As a Witcher “I am impressed with the opportunity to play Geralt of Rivia,” he said in a statement. White Wolf blades for the next chapter of his adventure. Henry, I have been a fan of you for years and have been inspired by what you brought to this beloved character. I might have some big shoes to fill, but I’m really excited to step into the world of The Witcher.”
the magician The third season is slated to release sometime in the summer of 2023. When the fourth season comes out, it remains to be seen. What also remains is what Hemsworth will look like as a character, though with filming likely to begin soon, fans shouldn’t have to wait long.
