Demands by Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann (FDP), Anton Hofreiter (Greens) and Michael Roth (SPD) to supply Ukraine with heavy weapons have been sharply criticized by SPD parliamentary group leader Rolf Mützenich. Stroke-Zimmerman’s counter-attack is clear.

The background is the demand of Mary-Agnes Strock-Zimmerman (FDP), Anton Hofreiter (Greens) and Michael Roth (SPD) to supply heavy weapons to Ukraine. “I am delighted to have women and men in the cabinet who have carefully weighed such difficult decisions and have not lost the consequences,” Mützenich added.
“The federal government is closely coordinating with our international partners. Germany should not be alone. It is unreasonable to deny the merits of those responsible in this situation and does not justify the seriousness of the situation,” Mützenich continued. Germany supports Ukraine in a variety of ways: by providing weapons that can have humanitarian, economic and immediate consequences. “The coalition is acting responsibly and will not deviate from this course.”
Stroke-Zimmerman responded on Twitter with clear words: “Unfortunately, Rolf Mutschenich is one of those who do not understand or do not understand the need for change in the era of their own president.
