But shortly after 12:20 p.m. Sunday, Mount Wachusett officials made the decision to remain shut down throughout the day, as it would be a few hours before they could restore power to the mountain. “Unfortunately, Mother Nature is not on our side once again,” reads a social media post. The annual Pondskim Gala, which was scheduled for Sunday, has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 30. A gala is also scheduled Ride for River Rail on Saturday, March 30. On the final weekend of the season, Mount Wachusett is scheduled to be open 9am-7pm Friday, 8am-7pm Saturday, and 8am-4pm Sunday .
