Microsoft starts rolling out a new Windows 10 Redstone 4 preview build 17035, for insiders on the Fast ring as well as Skip Ahead ring.
The new build brings a number of new features and improvements. These include updates for the Edge browser, which includes options to mute a tab. This would allow users to easily kill the audio for any website that automatically start playing media files.
In addition, Microsoft’s Edge browser is also getting an option to save free EPUB books, as the company plans to make its new browser more popular among users by adding new features. For instance, Microsoft wants to give Ede the ability to be a handy and powerful eBook reader.
Windows 10 Redstone 4 build 17035 also enhances the Settings app with added options, which includes one for Windows update. As the new build brings a new option where users are allowed to limit the download bandwidth used by active downloads. Also, sound controls that were earlier in the Control panel are now found within the Settings app.
Apart from these, the new build also brings improvements to touch keyboards. These include acrylic background which is now a part of Microsoft’s new fluent design system, along with the standard touch keyboard layout which is now compatible with over 190 keyboards. Not to mention, those of you using Windows 10 with an external keyboard will see three text suggestions while they’re typing, akin to the way while using a touchpad.
Windows 10 Redstone 4 build 17035 also comes with a slew of other minor improvements and bug fixes as well, along with several known issues. Also, systems running AMD processors are not compatible with this build as a result of a bug that was experienced while upgrading. The company says it is examining the situation and plans to roll out a fix as soon as possible.
