Microsoft has officially released the Xbox One X in multiple countries across the globe, it’s new console that offers 4K gaming and entertainment.

Microsoft claims that its new Xbox One X is the ‘world’s most powerful console‘. Under the hood, it runs eight custom x86 cores clocked at 2.3GHz CUP and 40 customized GPU compute units at 1,172 MHz.

Not to mention, it also comes with 12GB GDDR5 RAM, out of which 9GB will be specifically dedicated to run games at max resolution. The console is said to offer 30 percent faster processing bundled with a GPU that is nearly 5x more powerful than the original Xbox One.

At launch, Microsoft has confirmed that a total of 50 titles have been added to the console’s Enhanced Title list. These include popular titles such as FIFA 18, Forza Horizon 7, Super Lucky’s Tale, as well as Assassins Creed Origins. Microsoft has also confirmed that 20 more titles are also expected to arrive in the near future.

The new Xbox One X is Microsoft’s answer to the PS4 Pro. As already mentioned, the highlight of the Xbox One X is its ability to run games in 4K resolution. It also comes with a built-in 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray player, and supports 4K streaming. Therefore, buyers need to make sure they’ve a 4K TV or a monitor if they’re planning on buying the new Xbox One X to enjoy the console to its fullest potential.

“We built Xbox One X to give game creators the most powerful platform to bring their visions to life and to give gamers the best console to play the games of the past, present and future,” said Phil Spencer, head of gaming, Microsoft, in a press release.

The new Xbox One X has also set a record pre-order sales, according to Microsoft. While the company did not reveal an exact number, it did mention in a press release that there’ll be high demand for its new console this holiday season given it has received record pre-order sales.

Priced at $499, the Xbox One X finally goes on sale today in the US and can be purchased via the Microsoft Store along with other major e-commerce websites.
