Michael Che has denied speculation that he is leaving Saturday Night Live after speculation that he may be pursuing other opportunities.

The 38-year-old comedian and actor took to his Instagram account on Sunday night to deny rumors that he is leaving.

“I’m not leaving SNL,” he said, adding that he only joked about her on a recent comedy show.

He made history as the first African-American co-anchor of the Weekend Update, which was originally created in 1975 by Chevy Chase and Herb Sargent.

Michael also pointed out that his exaggerated jokes on his comedies weren’t true either.

‘Those were just jokes, too,’ he said on his Instagram.
