Apart from the much-anticipated release of the Galaxy Note 8, iPhone 8, and Google’s Pixel range, we’ve also got LG’s flagship phone for the year 2017. Even though we’ve haven’t heard many rumors about the device, the upcoming LG V30 has appeared GeekBench database, which reveals some of the device’s key specifications. And going by the listing, it appears the handset will feature some high-end specifications.

According to the listing, the LG V30 is said to get powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor bundled with 4GB of RAM. Now, this falls in-line with earlier rumors which hinted at Snapdragon 835 onboard. However, it appears it’ll feature 4GB of RAM instead of the rumored 6GB of RAM. That said, LG could announce different RAM and storage models of the smartphone, and the one to show up on GeekBench could be the low-spec model.

Elsewhere, the LG V30 is said to come with improved DAC capabilities over its predecessor – the LG V20. In terms of design, the handset is likely to feature a bezel-free front. Rumors also suggest the V-series’ trademark secondary display onboard the LG V30. The device is also said to feature an 18:9 FullVision edge-to-edge display. display. The LG V30 is also rumored to be the first device in the series to have feature OLED screen as opposed to the conventional LCD panel.

The company launched its LG G6 in the first half of 2017. While the device does appear to be the flagship of sorts, though we’d say it still isn’t. The LG G6 gets powered by the older Snapdragon 821, manufactured on the 14nm FinFET process. The company will deploy the latest Snapdragon 835 on the LG V30, which is manufactured using the 10nm manufacturing process. And today’s Geekbench listing just confirms that. Besides, the smartphone is also expected to feature wireless charging and hence, be the complete flagship device to rival the likes of the Galaxy S8. The LG V30 is likely to be announced at IFA 2017.

In other related news, the Korean manufacturer is also expected to announce a new smartphone – the LG Q8. The smartphone was spotted on the company’s Italian website revealing all of its specifications. However, there’s no information about its price and availability yet.
