Two of this year’s greatest collaborators – Jeremy Allen White and Calvin Klein – have teamed up again.
Tuesday, Calvin Klein open Her latest campaign, Fall 2024 Line This includes straight-leg jeans, denim and nylon sweaters, and men’s underwear, of course.
In a shoot that saw the Emmy-winning “The Bear” star, 33, posing poolside (yes, mostly shirtless) at a scenic Los Angeles estate, White experimented with looks like the brand’s signature shorts, a pair of skinny jeans and a denim jacket that showed off his torso. The ensemble, described as featuring “comfortable and flattering” cuts, inspired White’s style this summer.
“I don’t care what people say — I think wearing jeans over jeans will always look great,” White said in an interview. With GQ “We shot this campaign in April, and then jeans over jeans became my go-to outfit for summer evenings. There were a lot of button-down shirts over jeans and denim shirts.”
“I’m not a fashion person, really,” White admitted. However, he noted that he is mindful of how he styles his clothes and pays attention to “shape, or how a shirt fits your shoulders, or where the jeans sit on your waist, or the hem of the denim and where that falls on your shoes or sneakers.”

“Comfort is really important, and durability is also important—I like to be able to wear pretty much the same pair of jeans over and over again,” he says. “I cycle: I wear the same thing or at least a variety of five or six different pieces for a month or even two.”

In this West Coast installment of White’s partnership with Calvin Klein, White is seen wearing more clothes than his previous campaign, which launched earlier this year and was met with an online frenzy over the on-screen chef.
In the Spring 2024 campaign, the New York-born actor stands on a rooftop in New York City. The iconic city skyline is in the background, and he appears shirtless in the “Shameless” album, climbing a flight of stairs in just his underwear, glaring at the camera and lying on a couch.
In his interview with GQ, White spoke candidly about the experience and why it was so different from acting in front of the camera.
“I felt insecure leading up to the shoot, and I felt kind of crazy,” he said.
“Being in film or TV and then doing these kinds of campaigns or photoshoots, there’s a big difference – because in film and TV, your job is to forget that the camera is there, and then in this kind of photoshoot, your partner is the cameraman and the camera. So I was interested in making that work.”

Despite his hesitation, the response to the photoshoot was overwhelmingly positive. The photos were not only circulated online, but also posted on billboards in New York City.
At the 2024 Golden Globes, held just days after White’s spring campaign launch, he and his “Bear” co-stars were met with a flurry of questions about the photos.
After winning Best Actor at the Golden Globes, White appeared backstage to answer questions from reporters. When asked about his experience with people talking more about his abs than his performance, White admitted, “It’s been a weird couple of days.”
“I’m more proud of this,” he said of his Golden Globe win.
