Jeremy Allen White is Bruce Springsteen in our first look at the biopic

The first look of ‘The Bear’ star Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen in the biopic ‘Deliver Me From Nowhere’ has been revealed as production begins.

Directed and written by Scott Cooper (“Crazy Heart,” “Hostiles”), “Deliver Me From Nowhere” is based on Warren Zahns’ book of the same name about the making of Springsteen’s 1982 album “Nebraska.” Filming primarily in New Jersey and New York, Springsteen’s hometown, with additional production in Los Angeles, the film is scheduled to hit theaters next year.

According to a press release, Springsteen’s recording of “Nebraska” “represents a pivotal time in his life, a time he did not speak about publicly until decades after its release. It is considered a milestone in his musical journey and an inspiration to a generation of artists and musicians. “Nebraska” was recorded Recorded on a four-track recorder in Springsteen’s New Jersey bedroom and without the E Street Band, it’s considered one of Springsteen’s most enduring works — a raw, sonic record haunted by lost souls searching for a reason to believe.

Along with Allen White, the cast includes Stephen Graham as Springsteen’s father, Paul Walter Hauser as guitar technician Mike Patlan, and Odessa Young, rumored to play his love interest. in May, diverse Reportedly, Jeremy Strong is also in talks to play Jon Landau, Springsteen’s longtime manager.

From 20th Century Disney Studios, “Deliver Me From Nowhere” is produced by Cooper in collaboration with Gotham Group’s Elaine Goldsmith-Finn (“The Maze Runner” trilogy, “Juror No. 2”) and Eric Robinson (“Kodachrome,” “Last Days,” who developed the project with Cooper. Scott Stuber (“Frankenstein,” “Ted”) is also producing. Tracy Landon (“Maestro,” “Amsterdam”), who most recently worked with Cooper on “The Pale Blue Eye.” Zanes is executive producing.
