Jackson Mahomes, the younger brother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, was sentenced to six months in prison without probation Thursday after pleading no contest to a simple battery charge, according to court records.

“Jackson is grateful for the support of his family and friends over the past year. Jackson pleaded no contest to one count of simple battery and was given six months of unsupervised probation,” Brandan Davis, Jackson Mahomes’ attorney, told CNN on Friday. “Simply for the case to end and for him to continue with his life. The matter is now closed and we will not issue any further statements.”

Mahomes was arrested and charged in May 2023 with three counts of aggravated sexual assault and one count of battery by the Johnson County Prosecutor's Office.

Prosecutors ended up dismissing the three counts of aggravated sexual assault in January, according to court records.

Mahome's brother, Patrick, is the starting quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, with two Super Bowl wins under his belt. He is also the only quarterback to win Best player in the league Twice in just six years.
