Complaints have started pouring in about the newly released iPhone X, as several users have started reporting of a buzzing sound from the device’s earpiece speaker.

According to several reports, the sound becomes even more prominent at higher or max volume levels even with units that were replaced with new ones. Also, the issue is said to be clearly noticeable not only while playing music or videos, but even in alarms and ringtones.

Reports also indicate that not every iPhone X user is facing the issue, however, an increasing number of complaints about the same have appeared on Reddit and Twitter.

“It seems to be rattling/clipping when playing anything at high volume, even if it’s just someone talking. I even got my phone replaced yesterday, but the new unit has the same issue,” wrote a Reddit user.

Meanwhile, most of the user complaints suggest they face the issue only on high volumes, though some users also indicate that the problem even occurs at 50 percent volume.

“Love the phone but I was wondering if anyone has had any issues with the speakers slightly sounding a little crackling whenever max volume. Noticeable on certain songs and even my ringtone which was bought from the iTunes Store,” said user ShadowYYZ on the MacRumors forums.

Apple is yet to comment on the matter, and we will update the story as soon as we hear an official statement from Apple regarding the same.

That said, this isn’t the first time we’ve come across something similar, as even iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus users complained about a buzzing sound from the earpiece during phone calls. Apple later released a fix for the same in iOS 11.0.2.

Previously, iPhone X users have also complained of issues like green line of death, GPS problems, along with screen going blank in cold weather.
