Home Edition star stabbed to death

Eduardo Zol, a designer on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, died a week after being stabbed. He was 58.

Zul died Thursday at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, California, according to a news release from the hospital. Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

He died from his stabbing wounds on September 10.

TMZPolice spokesman Ronald Rickard, who first reported the news, said Zul had “serious injuries” when police found him more than a week before his death.

Reports say Zol called police for help after being stabbed and was found in a Palm Springs apartment.

Police told TMZ that Kassal was “in serious but stable condition” when he was taken to the hospital, where he died.

Richard Joseph Gonzalez, a 34-year-old man from Cathedral City, California, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the incident, according to TMZ.

Gonzalez allegedly called police the day Xol was found and claimed he was the victim of an assault that occurred the night before.

After police identified Gonzalez as the suspect, they booked him into the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio, California. He is reportedly being held without bail and facing murder charges.

In a statement to the people“We are deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved Eduardo Zul,” the Zul family said. “As his family, we know his kindness touched the lives of so many.”

“We ask that this kindness be returned now to allow our privacy to be respected while we process our grief,” the statement added. “In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in Eduardo’s name to American Lupus Foundation “He also spent much of his life serving others.”

Xol joined ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Editon” (hosted by Ty Pennington) during the second season, which premiered in 2004.

He left the show after season eight in 2011.

Zol was also a singer and actor. According to Internet database, He was in several Televisa soap operas in the 1990s, including “Acapulco, Cuerpo y Alma”, “Sentimientos Ajenos” and “La Jaula de Oro”.

Zul’s friend, Richard Perez Feria, honored the late star with a emotional post on instagram On September 22nd.

“It is almost incomprehensible that I am writing this post as a kind of farewell to someone who was so present and so important in my life,” Pérez Feria wrote. “When I first learned of Eduardo Zul’s death, I felt numb. It was impossible to process this information because it did not fit with the thousands of experiences I had with him.”

“Please don’t ask me how or why at this point,” he continued. “What matters most is who he was: a friend, a brother, a son, a talented, beautiful, passionate partner. The millions of laughs, hopes, and secrets we shared remain at the forefront of my thoughts. I want to honor my dear friend and celebrate his life as someone who mattered to so many. He certainly mattered to me.”

“I send healing love in this terrible time to his circle of friends and family who loved him so much. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee for us tomorrow,” Perez Feria added.
