In the past, you were able to redeem Play Points for Google Store discounts. Google is now offering a much deeper offer where Play Points Gold, Platinum, and Diamond members in the US can get 40% off the Pixel 8, 8 Pro, and tablet.
For some, opening the Play Points page (from the account menu) and going to the Perks tab will reveal a banner advertising this offer.
Even if you don’t have this logo, Play Points members at Gold, Platinum, or Diamond level (which appears to have recently launched in the US) can access playpoints.withgoogle.com/gstorediscount2023 Portal — withgoogle.com is the domain used by Google, see: Visit.withgoogle.com.
Sign in with your Google account that has Play Points enabled. Bronze and Silver levels are not eligible. However, this site says you can work up to Gold+ level and then you will be “eligible for this offer within a few days”.
Gold level requires you to have at least 600 Play Points, which can be earned through weekly rewards and purchases. At Bronze, you earn 1 point for every $1 you spend, including in-app purchases (IAPs). It rises slightly to 1.1 points per dollar in the silver tier.
At this point you have to choose your device. This choice is permanent/final and you cannot choose again. This will generate a Google Store promo link/code to complete your purchase on the usual storefront. Make sure you copy the “Redeem” link/button where your code appears appended to the end of the URL.
This discount applies to the full price of the devices and not the current holiday discount. It is valid for all storage configurations.
