The upcoming Pixel 2 flagship smartphone from Google has been revealed ahead of its official launch on October 4. As expected, the smartphone’s design is much like the original Pixel handset launched last year.

According to the leak, it’s rather hard to spot any major difference between the upcoming model and last year model as far as design goes. That said, leak suggests that the Pixel 2 range will be offered in some interesting color options.

The smaller Pixel 2 manufactured by HTC will come in three color options. These include a gray/blue hybrid, a black and gray mix, along with a plain White model.

The Pixel 2 XL, its larger sibling built by LG will only come in two color variants. These include a dark gray/black color combination along with a white and black iteration.

In terms of pricing, the upcoming Pixel 2 range is priced on the same lines as the newly launched iPhone 8 range. The smaller Pixel 2 will carry a price tag of $649 for the 64GB model, while its 128GB variant will cost $749. While the larger Pixel 2 XL gets a price tag of $849 for the 64GB model and $949 for the 128GB model.

As per earlier leaks, the Pixel XL 2 codenamed Taimen is expected to sport slimmer bezels and a larger screen compared to its predecessor. The handset is expected to pack a 5.99-inch 1440p OLED display. Under the hood, the Pixel XL 2 will get powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor bundled with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The smaller sibling codenamed Walleye will most likely sport a 4.97-inch 1080p display. The handset also run the Snapdragon 835 processor bundled with 4G of RAM and 64GB of storage. Google also plans to pack more tech in the device such as front-facing speakers, however, the classic 3.5mm jack will most likely be removed.
