The tech company Google has now released an update to the Google Home devices and it allows the users to connect their smart speakers to the Bluetooth speakers. The update is good for the Google Home Mini users who might want an enhanced listening experience, or for those who wish to make use of their smart speakers for multi-room listening.
Google said on its blog that they brought in this feature to life after hearing how much the users wanted to ramp up the sound with their Google Home Mini. It further said that now any of the Google Home devices could connect to other Bluetooth speakers so that the users can control their entertainment experience simply using the sound of their voice.
In order to pair a Google Home device to a Bluetooth speaker, the users must first open the Google Home app on their mobile device. Secondly, the users must go to “device settings” and follow the instructions on-screen on how to pair the Google Home to the Bluetooth speakers. The users could even set a specific Bluetooth speaker as their default speaker so that their Google Home could pair it automatically in the future.
Once the users are able to pair their Google Home device to a Bluetooth speaker, they would be able to ask Assistant to play music by using voice commands. The users would not even have to tell Assistant as to which Bluetooth speaker to play the tack till they already have paired the Google Home via the Home app. All the same voice commands would work while playing through a Bluetooth speaker, such as asking Assistant to turn the volume high or low. The users also would be able to connect their Google Home devices to a group of Bluetooth speakers in order to experience multi-room audio listening. The users would be able to do this by grouping a set of Bluetooth speakers in the Google Home app.
Google said that these features work across the entire Home family. The company further added that the users would still need to talk to their Google Home device and not the connected Bluetooth speakers for queries such as asking questions, using smart home commands, and getting weather updates. Together, Bluetooth speakers and Google Home make the best arrangement for amping up the music throughout the entire home.
