Forza Motorsport is in the polishing stages for release ‘later this year’

It’s been pretty quiet on the Forza Motorsport front since the release of the Xbox Developer Direct in January. Now, developer Turn 10 Studios has provided a brief update on the game, which is set to release “later this year.”

After that deep dive we had at Forza Motorsport with Xbox Developer Direct for January, Turn 10 hasn’t said much about its upcoming racing sim. However, Turn 10 has raised the hood slightly on what stage of development Forza Motorsport is currently in.

Run 10 is currently polishing Forza Motorsport for release

According to the new model blog postTurn 10 says it is now “focused on polishing” Forza Motorsport as it prepares for its launch “later this year.” This would indicate that the game’s content is now mostly complete, and that Turn 10 is spending its time making the game look and perform to a high level, especially since the developer has promised that Forza Motorsport will offer a “generational leap” in fidelity and realism.

Forza Motorsport initially launched in the spring of 2023, but according to the latest Developer Direct, “Spring” is no longer mentioned. According to Turn 10, Forza Motorsport will offer over 500 real-world cars at launch, and you can expect 20 environments featuring multiple track layouts.
