Fortnite receives new weapons and items nearly every week or so. They sound really cool and some radically even modify the game in novel ways. The use of the word “sound” in the context may be stressed upon. The players would not really know. They are suffering through an agonizing Fortnite curse, which always keeps these fabled items just out of the reach, or, most probably, never to be used.
Many of the players are yet to use the recent additions of Fortnite. They have yet not been blessed with an opportunity to use items such as the jump pads, Boogie Bombs, and Impulse Grenades. Many have not even seen a Port-A-Fort till now despite playing non-stop since they went live in the game. Due to the lack of enough material, many have not yet used the vending machines.
This should not be perceived wrong as this is not happening due to the reason that the players are sucking at Fortnite. There are decent players who often place in the top 15 or 20, averaging about 1-2 kills per game, and yet have not got a chance to use the recent items added to the game. As could be estimated, any one of four analyzed things could always happen to the players.
Sometimes, the players of Fortnite just would not find the awesome new item in-game. This one makes sense as some of the additions are rare that is supposed to be a part of the fun. That in practice this implies that it sometimes takes the players months to even find an item included in an update. Even though the Boogie Bombs were added in the month of December, many of the players have not yet seen one.
If the players do find the mythical new weapon, they would die before they get to use it. There is nothing quite as such finding an Epic-grade item and reveling in joy, only to be killed. If the players somehow manage to survive, two worse things could happen to them. Often, they would forget that they have the spicy new weapon in their inventory, as in the middle of a hectic situation, it is much easier to default to an assault rifle, sniper rifle, or shotgun. These are the known quantities that the players know how to control, and in a free-for-all where one only has one life, experimenting with the strange new thingy is not always the most prudent choice. The worst feeling, though, is when a player gets the hot new item and then thinks that he should save that for a good moment and as it could be guessed, that moment never comes. The one and only certainty in battle royale is death.
Likely, many of the players have not experienced anything as severe as this, but it could be surely told that some variation of these situations has come up at least once. So this goes out for all the Fortnite players who at some point in time are vexed by the rare new items and weapons of the game.
