Former WWE wrestler Sarah Lee dies at the age of 30

On Thursday, her mother announced that Sarah Lee, the sixth season winner of the WWE reality series “Tough Enough,” has died at the age of 30.

“We wanted to share Sarah Weston with Christ with heavy hearts,” Terry Lee wrote in a social media post. We are all in shock and the arrangements are not perfect. We ask that you respectfully let our family grieve.”

No cause of death was given.

Her mother, Sarah Lee, the 2015 Tough Enough Award winner, has announced that she has passed away at the age of 30.

Lee married fellow WWE wrestler Corey James Weston, who worked under the stage name Wesley Blake, in 2017. They shared two children, daughter Piper and son Brady.

On Tuesday, Lee posted on Instagram that she is recovering from a sinus infection.

“Finally celebrating being healthy enough to go to the gym two days in a row,” I wrote. “The first sinus infection hit my ass.”

Lee got a one-year contract from the wrestling group after performing in 2015, but was released in September of 2016. She continued to wrestle on the independent circuit.

Fellow wrestler Paul James organized a GoFundMe for the Lee family.

“We are all shocked and saddened by the untimely death of Tough Enough winner Sarah Lee,” James Books on the fundraising page. “With her loving husband, Corey, picking up the pieces and continuing to raise his three kids, the last thing anyone in this position would want to worry about is money, funeral costs, and everything that comes with it.

“The wrestling community has always been one community united in the wake of tragedy and this is no different. Every penny collected from this will go straight to Cory and the kids. Thank you all in advance. RIP Sara, you were one of the kind.”
